Living in a small space requires optimum organisation and in order to avoid having jewellery pieces strewn all over the place I decided to check out new storage solutions. I love the look and practicality of storing jewellery in trinket trays but they tend to accumulate dust unless worn frequently and may also get scratched.
The most apparent solution for jewellery storage is of course a jewellery box. I've had the McKenna medium jewellery box for several years and have used it daily ever since I got it. It has some scuffs but has held up incredibly well. However, I wanted to opt for something larger that I know I won't be replacing any time soon.
I came across Stackers years ago but never really looked into the brand until recently. They have plenty of sizes available and the best thing about the brand is the possibility to add on layers as your collection grows. I picked up the supersize one purely because I do not want to have to garner more storage space in the future even though it sits rather empty right now. I have added a single layer along with the top box. Seeing as it is so pristine I'll keep this to hold the fine/demi fine items. The McKenna will in the mean time provide a home for fancy costume jewellery.
That leaves the other costume jewellery which I wouldn't want to store amassed together out of fear of tarnishing. I found this storage solution which is perfect for small spaces. Essentially it hangs in the closet and has several separate transparent pouches for all pieces, avoiding having necklaces all tangled up and also makes sorting a dream. I'm currently storing all my costume jewellery in it and it has proved to be rather practical being to such proximity to my clothing. There are plenty of other versions available but this one has 80 separate pouches for storage and is incredibly sturdy, which is essential to hold on to the weight when it's filled up.
